Our Daily Spread

9:37AM - Hi

Hello, there. I've recently gotten into Tarot, although I have believed in it for much longer...I learned on the Manga Tarot deck and I'm now using Yoshitaka Amano's Tarot deck, which I had imported from Japan. I love his art and as soon as I found out that he had a Tarot deck, I knew I had to have it. I'm having the book translated as I type. I love this deck, but it is nearly impossible to shuffle...because the cards are plastic! I know that they will last me a long time, though. I have also recently created a spread:

This spread is used primarily during an ongoing issue or strife, and allows the cards to help lead the way.

I may scan in some of my Amano cards soon, but for now, here are some samples:

Anyway, thanks for allowing me to join!

10:21AM - The Keeper of the Peace

gakked from caseystratton

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluxuation, particularily when it comes to your moods.

I feel bad that I've not posted in ages. I need to get back in the swing of things. I've just been very behind with work & life.

All my best to my friends in this community!

I think I’ve avoided doing a reading for a bit longer than usual. Thus, when I sat down yesterday (i.e., Sunday), I ended up doing four readings in a row. Most were fairly clear, save this one. If you could help me out a bit, I’d appreciate it!

I used the Rider-Waite deck; however, instead of my tried-and-true deck (i.e., the one I’ve used for over 20 years), I used the deck I’ve been “training” for the past approximately 17 years. While the readings prove as accurate as my older deck, it takes a bit longer for my energy to “understand” and select the cards. We’ll become fast pals, I’m certain.

This is a seven-card Trend reading with no clarifiers/daath pack.

Beginning last year, I felt the call to return to the Midwest and the Chicagoland area. Since summer, the call’s been strong. During Christmas break--when I went home--the pull became even stronger. Recently, I've had dreams about living and working in Chicago. Thus, I decided to “check in” with the cards and to see whether or not I'm successfuly taking steps to get to Chi-town . . . and whether or not Chicago is "really" supposed to be the next step on my Journey.

12:28PM - Flying Hands?

Greetings, All.

I'm new to this community, but very eager to participate.

I first heard the call of the cards when I was twelve. Even then, I treated my cards and the reading ritual as sacred (i.e., not as a parlor game)--somehow, certain actions felt innate. I'm sure many of you had the same experience.

I still use the same Rider-Waite pack I bought at that time (i.e., 22 years ago), however, I have begun to train a new deck. About two months ago, one of my cards tore a bit during a shuffle. I feel like I'm about to retire a very good friend.

I am here with two questions that, hopefully, My Fellow Community Members, you can help me to understand. First, a reading I did yesterday, and second, I must share an odd phenomena that's happened during a couple readings in only the past six months.
